Disco en directo de Grateful Dead que recoge un concierto grabado el 20 de diciembre de 1971 en el FoxTtheatre de Nueva Orleans. Fue grabado con la formación original de Grateful Dead, formada por Jerry García, Bill Kreutzmann, Phil Lesh, Ron "Pigpen" McKernan, Bob Weir y el recién llegado Keith Godchaux al piano. Según declaraciones de  David Lemieux, archivista de Grateful Dead y productor del set; 

"Sólo hay unas pocas épocas verdaderamente grandes en la historia de las actuaciones de Grateful Dead que abarquen más de un año, y una de las mejores es el período de transición que abarca desde diciembre de 1971 hasta el otoño de 1973. Este fue un período durante el cual los Dead solidificaron su formato de gira (varias giras distintas, algo cortas y geográficamente definidas cada año), donde cada noche los Dead asombraban a sus fans con una mezcla de más de seis años de música que demostraba claramente sus muchas transiciones y transmutaciones".
