The Forest Is The Path" es el octavo álbum de estudio de la banda irlandesa y el primero desde que editara en 2018 “Wildness”. Ha sido escrito por el trío que ahora forma Snow Patrol que son Gary Lightbody, Nathan Connolly y Johnny McDaid.

Contiene doce temas y está producido por Fraser T Smith (Adele/Dave/Stormzy) y la propia banda. Fraser también ha contribuido a la composición de algunas de las canciones del álbum, junto a Will Reynolds, Roy Kerr y Troy Van Leeuwen (QOTSA). La carátula del álbum y del primer single están pintadas por Gary Lightbody.
